Tower Technicians
A Tower/Field Technician works under close and
direct supervision of the Field Supervisor and Crew Lead. A Tower/Field
Technician assists with the construction, installation, maintenance and
repair of antenna systems, communication towers and support structures.
Tower/Field Technicians work irregular hours, work under hazardous
conditions, and regularly work under adverse conditions (e.g., working
heights of 500 ft. plus, inclement weather, remote sites, etc.) in the
performance of the job. Tower/Field Technicians work throughout the region,
may be required to travel out of state, and must be willing to travel
overnight on an as needed basis
Essential Functions
Climbs and
works on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing,
and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance
Must have
the physical ability and the willingness to work above ground at excessive
heights on towers, rooftops, and equipment such as bucket trucks and/or man
lifts
Effectively utilizes of available resources, technology, and tools to
complete work
Complies
with all company policies and procedures as well as additional legal
regulatory requirements (Drug Free)
Installs
tower foundations and erects towers using construction and rigging
equipment
May
fabricate metal support brackets and support structures
Maintains
clean, safe and orderly environment, and adheres to all Company and
industry (i.e., OSHA) standards/regulations
Efficiently prioritizes and
performs job requirements and activities based on open communication with
the lead or manage.
